B Consulting is an engineering based consulting firm that was founded in 2002 and is proud to have celebrated its 15th anniversary in November 2017.
In the early years the company was focussed on IP telephony and the convergence of voice & data and fixed & mobile networks. We supported operators, enterprises, vendors and public sector bodies in maximising the value that they could obtain from convergence. Our own internal communications have for many years been based on a SIP based open source IP communications platform to give the benefits of distance independent working.
With the massive investments in 3G licences and infrastructure in the early 2000’s and the later explosion of mobile data across these networks driven by the consumer market for smart phones, our skills found a particular niche in the cellular and wireless telecommunications industries. More recently, with the increasing automation and control of transport infrastructures, and the ‘internet of things’ we have established bespoke partnerships to specifically address the air and rail transport industries.
